We live in a love-crazy world. With just one flip on the radio dial, we'll hear songs about endless love, forbidden love, real love, and other "love tune" in Visayan and English versions, which people love to sing along with. Some of the lyrics are silly. Today's love songs may be about commitment, but only to one's personal desire. No wonder so many people are confused about what the "L word" really means. But one thing is sure. We won't get an accurate idea about what love means just by listening to the local FM stations.
I've learned that to get a true picture of love, we need to look at what God says about it. In explaining how we can be sure of our love for Him, Jesus indicated that love and obedience go hand-in-hand. He made it clear that if we don't seek to obey God, we don't love Him. Without obedience, our relationship to Him falls short. So now, when it comes to loving God, no sentimental love songs can express what it take. To love God is to obey Him.

In a chat after study today one of the ladies was finding her heart was hardening and love was hard and I reminded her than when we give love and it is thrown back in our faces......it is still love that is hitting us. It is not the problem that the other person has...it is just our love that has come home...and can be given again and again.
