POINTING FINGERS

Proverbs 10:18-19 -- He who conceals his hatred has lying lips, and whoever spreads slander is a fool.
When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise.

I can't point my finger at someone without pointing at myself because the other three fingers directly back at me. That's what reminds me each time I point out the faults of someone else. Instead of jumping into conclusions, I learned that I should give the person the benefit of the doubt and reserve judgment until all the facts can be known.
So if someone has wronged you, first go to the person alone to seek reconciliation instead of badmouthing him before others. God's children are to be channels of love and truth, not maliciousness and lies.

i'm reminded of that verse about the speck in someone else's eye and the 2X4 in your own.

Where words are many, sin is not absent. That's the part I need to focus on! I tend to talk too much, and while I don't usually have issues about talking about others, my words still aren't always Christ-like. I'm so thankful for His wise words!

By the way, I love your beautiful header!
