Shoot Me: Our First Christmas

I haven't been able to write for about a week already. So I couldn't let this day pass without submitting an entry. So here's my entry for the Shoot Me meme for this week. I am just glad to share photos of me and Mark on our first Christmas. :) Though he only stayed until 11P.M. and went to his home, I was still indeed very thankful to God for answering one of my prayers, to spend Christmas and other really special occasions with my significant half.
I also want to thank God for the year 2010, for all the blessings He's given me, my family and my loved ones. There may be trials and struggles but He was always there to lift us up. Thank you, Father. I am ready to face another year together with You and in accordance to Your will.

Thankful Thursday: My New Baby

I wanna thank God for the blessings I've received this year. He's been so generous and faithful to me and to my family. And the latest blessing that I want to thank Him for is my new baby, not literally though. I have my new Aspire One Happy netbook just last weekend. I have longed for this laptop that I can call my own so that wherever  I go, I can simply slid it in my bag without asking permission from my mom. So last weekend, I asked  my mom if she can lend me some money and have promised to pay it bi-weekly. And thank God, my mom finally said yes to my request. At first she was hesitant because she told me she has two laptops at home so why don't I use them instead. I explained to her that it would really be different if it's my own for I can do anything with it like download music, games, and other applications that I like. With my prayers, my mom said yes. :) I really thank God for answering my prayer. A very nice Christmas gift. :) Here's how my laptop looks..

TWO LAPTOPS

Here's my Blue Monday and Ruby Tuesday entry. :)
In the pictures are two laptops, obviously. Hahaha. These aren't for sale, though.
The blue one is my boyfriend's laptop. And the red one is mine. Ooops. Actually it isn't mine. Lol. It is my mom's!
And hmmm, I am so happy to share with you that I also purchased my own netbook last Saturday.--an Aspire One Happy netbook. Thank God for such blessing. :) I super love it. Actually, my 4-year-old niece love it so much too because it's pink. I'm going to post the pictures soon.

So for more BLUE and RED photos, just visit their sites. :)

SHOOT ME: MY TWIN

Hahahahaha.... So here's my twin! I'm pretty sure you were expecting to see another me. Lol. I'm sorry but I don't have a twin. I just entitled this SHOOT ME entry of mine like this because when they took this photo, they said this roasted pig looks like me. Oh well, for the fun of it, I gladly posed for the camera. :)

Watery Wednesday and Wordless Wednesday

Here's my entry for the Watery Wednesday and Wordless Wednesday memes. The fishermen on their fishing boat were selling their fresh catch to us. I chose to make the picture larger so that you guys can see the boat and the fishermen clearly.

Comments would dearly be appreciated. Thanks, guys! Happy Wednesday. :)

RT: White Forest Cake

White Forest Cake from Red Ribbon.
Now blow the candle, dear! Ooops. Stop! Wait! That's not your cake, Czeska! Lol. Actually she begged her mom to light the candles because she really wanted to blow them.
Hmmm.. Here's the real owner of the cake. As I've mentioned in my previous posts, November 29th is my mom's birthday. So we had a party during that day. It was indeed a joyous celebration because she celebrated with her dear friends and family.  I love you, mama! :)

Visit Work of the Poet site for more. And don't forget to leave comments, too. :)

This was at the Manila Ocean Park. It's just one of their new additions to attract more tourists. It was just added this year I believe because when we went there last year, it was not built yet. However, these bright, colorful, spectacular, and world-class symphony of lights will be such fun to watch with family and friends. So what are you waiting for, visit  Manila Ocean Park now! :)

Shoot Me: Meet the Siblings

This was during my mom's 54th birthday celebration last November 29th. My mom invited my boyfriend's family but unfortunately only his siblings came. His mom wasn't able to attend because she was busy. Anyway, in this picture: (from left-right: Mark, me, Catherine, my mom, Kristin, and Reymund) They are Mark's siblings. Actually, it was our first time to meet Catherine and Reymund. For I've already known Kristin for quite awhile. So I do hope that that will be a start of a stronger and lasting relationship with them. :)

MEDICAL ASSISTANTS IN DEMAND

We all know that nurses are in demand in other countries now but unfortunately not all nurses get the chance to work abroad for some reasons. In that case, especially in the states, medical assistants are hired. To be a medical assistant, you have to have a high school diploma plus training about the medical field. But employers prefer to hire individuals who have a certificate from a medical assistant school. A medical assistant’s job varies. They can do the front office and administrative and clinical tasks of the physician and other health practitioners. They can file patient’s medical record; arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services. A certified medical assistant can also perform the checking of vital signs, the height and weight of the patient, and assisting the doctors during the examinations. But these tasks depend on the law of each state. So there are a lot of people in their country who enroll in medical assistant schools to become a certified medical assistant.

Rubber Stamps

With our technology today, we easily can make calling cards, invitation cards, and other stuff. We just open the computer, search the net, make a draft, use the most brilliant templates and backgrounds and then print it! Most establishments use the advantages of it. But there are still offices and businesses that use rubber stamps for their transactions. I guess using stamps are still really helpful especially for very important documents. We can customize the designs we want, too. There are signature stamps, name and address stamps, deposit stamps, and the like. So just go to the nearest rubber stamp maker near you and customize your own.

I Miss Baking!

In October 2007, my best friend, Peachy, taught me how to bake moist chocolate cake. I was really into baking at that time. So I tried hard to learn it and baked for family like twice a month. Then on my mom’s birthday in November, she gave a treat for her officemates so she let me bake a cake. To my amazement, her officemates said it’s delicious. They knew it was me who baked it. So they told my mom that they want to order cakes for the Christmas. Wow! That was really amazing news for me at the same time a challenging one. My mom supported me, though, by accompanying me to the store who sells baking materials because it was my first time to go there. I saw things like stainless steel barrels, drums, pails, buckets, as well as the ones I’m going to use for baking. Then December came, I got lots of orders. I couldn’t imagine that I sold more than 10,000 Pesos worth of cakes. That was an unforgettable experience for me. I wish I can bake again just like that.

GIVEAWAYS!

As government employees, my sister and my mom always receive giveaways from their offices especially during anniversaries. They have like a collection of promotional umbrellas at home; small and big sizes, plain or colored ones. So I’m pretty sure that this month of December, the anniversary of my mom’s office, she’ll be able to bring home again 2 or 3 colorful umbrellas. It is indeed an advantage for us because we don’t get to buy umbrellas especially for this rainy season. So thanks mom for the umbrellas! More giveaways!
